IMPORTANT SAFETY INFO

Before you book Recovery

Every first-time visitor at Peak Performance Hydration gets a free telehealth consultation with our Board Certified Emergency Physician before any IV therapy starts. That consult is where we check this list carefully:

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding — many IV protocols are not appropriate; some are. We do not start anything until the medical director clears it.
  • Heart, kidney, or liver disease — fluid loads and certain vitamins require dose adjustment or are contraindicated.
  • G6PD deficiency — high-dose IV vitamin C can cause hemolysis. We screen for this.
  • Current medications — antibiotics, chemotherapy, blood thinners, MAOIs, and several others can interact with IV ingredients. Bring your list.
  • Known allergies — to vitamins, minerals, latex, or adhesives (we use latex-free supplies).
  • Recent surgery or hospitalization — wait until your discharging clinician clears IV therapy.
  • Active infection or fever — reschedule. Treat the infection first.

Possible side effects: mild bruising or soreness at the IV site, brief metallic or vitamin taste during infusion, transient warmth/flushing, rare allergic reaction. Severe reactions are very uncommon; our team is trained and equipped to respond.

IV vitamin therapy is a wellness service provided under medical supervision. It is not FDA-approved to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, and is not a substitute for medical care for any specific condition. Always disclose your full medical history before treatment.
